R&D Engineer in Laser Processing

Created in 2007, ALPhANOV is a technological centre member of the excellence cluster ‘Route des lasers et des hyper frequences’ and has today more than 95 employees. ALPhANOV targets the development of cutting-edge and innovative solutions, products, and techniques in the field of optics and laser technology for a variety of different markets, such as aeronautics, aerospace, medicine, luxury and military. Located in the Institute of Optics of Aquitaine, ALPhANOV is a key player in the field of optics and lasers in the Nouvelle Aquitaine region.
ALPhANOV is well reputed for its capacity to identify key-innovation technologies promoting, all along his history, the creation of new companies and spin-off (20 since the creation).

You will join the Research & Innovation Team of the Laser Processing Department. You'll be taking part in today's challenges, using state-of-the-art technologies in fields including energy transition, aeronautics, medicine and defense.

You will:

• develop and employ advanced laser processing techniques,

• carry out feasibility studies and services for our clients on an international scale,

• conduct research and development projects at regional, national and European level,

• participate in conferences and trade shows at national and international levels,

• use state-of-the-art characterization systems,

• get to know EU quality regulations (procedures, test reports, …),

• take care of the maintenance and upgrades of laser processing setups,

• work in a stimulating environment together with experienced professionals recognized internationally for their skills

Ph.D. in Photonics/Physics/Material Science with less than 3 years-experience after Ph.D. defense.

• You have some experience in the field of laser processing and experimental work

• You are dynamic, rigorous and motivated

• You enjoy working with a team

• You have at least a B2 level in English (written and spoken)
